Claire Bellone, Nurse Consultant, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

As a Nurse Consultant I have extensive experience working in the field hormone replacement therapy from puberty and cross every decade of a woman's life. The spectrum of complexity ranges from starting HRT, hormone intolerance to severe PMS/PMDD as well as complex comorbidities including GSM, mental health, cardiovascular disease and breast cancer.

I have published and lectured widely, am a BMS/FSRH Menopause Trainer and former senior lecturer at South Bank University. I also provide a support group for young women with Premature Ovarian Insufficiency.

Sacha Newman, Consultant Nurse Urogynaecology, Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Galsworthy Road, Kingston Upon Thames, Surrey, KT2 7QB

Sacha trained as a registered nurse St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London in 1995. She has worked in the field of Urogynaecology since 2009 and has experience in both the hospital and community settings. She is currently the Lead Urogynaecology Nurse at Kingston Hospital.

Sacha is an independent prescriber, gained a BSc Hons in Women’s Health in 2014 then went on to complete an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice in 2021, both from Kings College London. Her clinical role involves running nurse-led clinics for pelvic floor dysfunction, including diagnosis and treatment for pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, urinary tract infection and bladder pain.

She is works closely with the maternity department and is active in producing guidelines and protocols.

She is passionate about teaching and has developed a training and competency programme for Urogynaecology nurse specialists.

Jenny Munro, Advanced Practice Physiotherapist (Continence) , NHS Highland, Inverness

My work as a physiotherapist in the NHS has developed my mentoring, teaching and communication skills. I am a self-directed learner with IT skills and passion for self development and the development of others. I enjoy teaching and public speaking.

As a skier, mountaineer, runner and swimmer I am used to looking after myself and others in the outdoors and my experience of cross country ski racing in the Scottish Development Squad and GB age group squads has developed my ability to commit to long term projects and physical and mental resilience and fitness.


Kathy Parsons, Specialist Midwife for Pelvic Health at Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Trust.

She qualified in 2003 and has worked predominantly as an intrapartum care midwife and more recently as a Labour Ward shift leader until 2020.

In her current role she delivers care for women with a history of obstetric anal sphincter injury and women with concerns around infection and dehiscence of childbirth-related perineal trauma. She also has an interest in postnatal bladder care and is developing her experience and expertise with pregnant women with inflammatory bowel disease.

Birmingham and Solihull United Maternity and Newborn Partnership (BUMP) was selected as an early implementer site for the National Pelvic Health Improvement Project. Kathy is an active member of the BUMP team, helping to coordinate and streamline services across the LMNS.

She has experience of teaching in a variety of settings including PEARLS and as a Newborn Life Support instructor and she was lead author in a multidisciplinary team responsible for a systematic review on the incidence of infection and dehiscence related to childbirth-related perineal trauma.

She is the current midwifery representative on the UKCS committee and has been active in the development of the AHP forum.

She is a member of the Specialist Perineal Midwife network.
