call for Abstracts - IS NOW OPEN . DEALINE FOR SUBMISSION 9TH JANUARY 2025

The presentation of abstracts by delegates after peer review is a key part of the annual UKCS Conference.

The friendly and supportive environment of this Conference provides an excellent opportunity for presenters, particularly for trainees.

The UKCS Conference audience is multi-disciplinary and abstracts are invited for oral, oral poster or poster presentation. All submissions are welcome – from teams or individuals.

The UKCS Scientific Committee encourages all levels of medical colleagues to submit abstracts - from case histories to full clinical trials. Do come and be part of this important meeting, submit an abstract and share your experience and latest research. Presentations must be made in-person and all presenters must register and pay to attend.

Please read all of the guidance below BEFORE submitting your abstracts.

Abstracts may be by way of original paper/trial, audit, or a professional experience – the knowledge of which would be of benefit to others in the specialty.

Our themes for the 2025 Conference are as follows:

THEMES

LUTS and UI, POP, Bowel Dysfunction, Sexual Dysfunction, Menopause/Ageing, Pregnancy/Childbirth, Other (including epidemiology, P&A)

INTERVENTION TYPE

Diagnosis & Imaging, Conservative, Surgery, Technology & Devices, Other

STUDY DESIGN

Basic Science, Quality of Life, Systematic Review/Literature Review, Audit/Service Design,

Trial/Controlled Study/Before and After Study, Case Reports, Other

Terms and Conditions of Submission:

All submissions will be subject to blind review.

ALL Presenters must register to attend UKCS 2025 and instructions as regards Registration will be included in the result correspondence. A deadline will be set for all Presenters’ Registrations. Failure to register by the deadline will result in the presentation/poster being removed from the line-up of UKCS 2025.

All Presenters must be available during 17th and 18th March 2025 to be part of the programme in-person in London. Since presentations are scheduled in the Conference programme according to their theme, the UKCS Scientific Committee’s decision is final on the scheduling of an accepted abstract and correspondence as regards changing the scheduling cannot be entered into. A change of presenter is possible if availability is a problem, for example one of the other authors of the abstract.

UKCS does not provide certificates of presentation. We encourage submitters to retain a copy of their result correspondence inviting them to present, plus a copy of the final programme from the event as testimony to the inclusion of their presentation.

Abstract Submission Deadline (no extensions possible): midnight on 9th January 2025
